Matt Kravitsky is a writer/director/ producer based in Los Angeles specializing in narrative projects. He has completed 14 short films, a sitcom pilot, and numerous commercials and videos.

Matt was born and raised in Massachusetts where he made films since he got his first camcorder at age 8, and has been obsessed with making movies since. He has always wanted to put the ideas in his head out there for other people to see.

Matt studied film at Quinnipiac University, where he directed over 25 projects. His thesis film, THE CHRYSALIS, premiered at the New Hampshire Film Festival and continued to play at 12 more festivals nationally, two of which it won. He also co-directed a film that competed in the show NESN Next Producer.

Matt moved to Los Angeles after filming the short, ABOVE THE BRANCHES. The film was shot in his hometown days before he moved across the country and went on to win best Sc-Fi Short at the Atlanta Shortsfest, play at 12 more festivals nationally, and was selected to premiere online on Film Shortage.

Matt strives to direct feature films and has seven features in development. Two of those are feature versions of The Chrysalis and Above the Branches. He currently resides in LA working for an independent studio as well as directing his own projects.
